Madverts
On
June 2nd Creative Routes will premier the first ever Madverts; –
advertisements that madvertise madness to combat discrimination.
These will be screened during mad commercial breaks at BonkersFest!

These madverts were devised, co-directed and also feature mad people.
In the build up to BonkersFest! 07 a team of Creative Routes bonkers
people worked with Young Vic workshop director Christopher Heimann
and Gabby Vautier to create a series of madvert ideas.
Script Writer Bobby Baker [a fellow mad artist] and Jack Cole [Film
Director] have adapted some of the ideas from the workshops to produce
2 PILOT madverts which will be shown on the LCD screen during Bonkers
Fest. Some of the team appear in these madverts and helped in their
production.
A madvert made by Creative Routes member Ban will also be shown.
Thanks to the support of Dave Morris – Senior Policy Advisor
on Disability at the GLA the BonkersFest! Madvertising Agency briefed
students from the Design for Advertising and Moving Image courses
(BA Hons Graphic & Media Design) at London College of Communication.
Their commercials on the subject of mental illness will be screened
too and were made by

The aim is to produce LOTS MORE of the ideas from the workshops
for 2008 and train the Bonkers Madvertising Agency to work alongside
